RELIC SERVICE

We'll do a complete relic of your existing finish for $550 plus all shipping fees to and from our shop. This is a complete tear-down and re-build, and includes a full setup and a fresh set of 10 gauge strings. 

 

What's included in our relic service?​

• Adding dents, dings, forearm wear, buckle rash, belly rub, and pick marks

• Dulling and yellowing the finish

• Adding lacquer checking lines

• Full neck relic including hand rolling the fretboard and dressing the fret ends

• Adding “fretwear” to the wood NOT the wire (maple necks only)

• Removing the finish from the back for faster playing and less drag, and darkening it with amber nitro lacquer

• Aging the metal hardware and plastics

 

Choose all or some of the above options including the amount of relic from light to heavy wear.

Please note, we DO NOT offer refinishing, binding or routing to personal guitars, or install trademark headstock decals.
 
For all relic services, our turnaround time is two weeks or less from the time it reaches our shop. We do require that you send along a pre-paid UPS return shipping label.

If possible, you can separate the neck and ship the parts in a smaller box to save on shipping. You will receive it back the same way you send it, even re-using your packaging for return shipping.

Once we establish details on your project, we'll email you a Paypal invoice, which is also payable by any major credit card.
 
In addition, send along or email “inspiration” photos of guitars that have the look you want. Please understand, that these are for reference only and your guitar will not turn out as an exact replica.
